I haven't been able to work outside the home for a few years now due to a diagnosis of secondary progressive multiple sclerosis
and rheumatoid arthritis. I really missed working especially since I had worked from the age of 14. It felt good to contribute.
Buying that first little finch was a blessing in disguise. It wasn't long before the house started filling up with lots of
birds. Amazing sounds, chirps, whistles, the occassional screech but most of all just the wonderful sound of birds everywhere.
Now this is a job I can do! Not that it's easy. It's hard work, you are on call 24/7. Babies need to be watched over, cages
cleaned, dishes washed and refilled, food prepared, and of course TLC time. Every bird needs attention. The nicest part is
that on days when I don't feel well I can still take care of my birds. They don't care if I don't comb my hair (in fact, they
like it better. Probably because it resembles a nest? lol) They don't care if I am in my jammies. All they care about is seeing
you. Birds trust you and love you like one of their own. It's a truly wonderful world to be in.

This is a good likeness of me. I told you about the bird nest hair! LOL
