We just wanted to say what a great site. We think it is very important to post good breeders that do this for the love of parrots. We run a parrot rescue and feel that education is the key to having a parrot(s) this has to start with the breeders. Not all breeders out there educate the people buying. We find many people wanting to adopt from us, have never owned a parrot. But they want to help a rescue parrot.

 ffice ffice" />

We try and direct these people to breeders. Getting a handfed baby is better for the new owner. Most rescue parrots have problems, if one is not experience they can do more harm to the parrot with out knowing it. Parrots are like kids, but stay and the age of 3 to 5 years old, can live up to 80 years old some species, or longer. The bigger the parrot the more time they need with humans. People will see a colourful parrot in a pet store, buy it and within a few months find out that this is not what they thought it would be like. In the end the parrot suffers.

Parrots are loud and messy but on the other hand do your research on the specie you want, till you can’t research any longer. In the end you will understand parrots and get as much love back as you give them. We would be lost with out our parrots.

Keep up the good work.

Comments: I heard of your site thru a friend. She told me because I recently bought 2 finches and I inherited my mom's cockatiel. I love having them around. If you ever have exotic birds that are in need of a home, please let me know. We have a rescued dog from Mexico, a rescued cat and rescued red bearded dragon from Calgary, ironic but true. The kids and I love all animals. Keep up the good work, looks cool.
